Royal City United

Royal City United is a successful Boys U12 Gold team that will be assessing new players and conducting tryouts for their U13 team (1997 born) on Monday March 30th from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm and on Tuesday March 31st from 5:30-7:00 on the turf field at Mercer Stadium in New Westminster.

Moving from Super-8 to traditional 11-aside soccer means an expanded roster size and all positions are being assessed.

This highly skilled, competive team strives to be the "go to" team in the region. Royal City United should be high on the list for any player seeking a program and team focused on development, instruction, competition and fun. This team works closely with the club's Technical Directors and is extremely dedicated to player growth through focused training on individual player skills and team strategy.

Potential players should consider that this team will play around 45-50 games per season. Players not involved in other Springtime sports will be expected to compete in the RCYSC Futsal program starting in April and weekly training will continue until mid-June. After taking a break for July, the team will start to train lightly at the beginning of August and will build up to a week long team training camp in advance of a Labour Day tournament and the start of the season.

We currently have an excellent group of dedicated parents and kids who have a lot of fun on and off the field. Team fundraising opportunities will exist and parents will be expected to contribute to these efforts.

RC United is building towards competing at the highest level of U13 Gold with an eye on advancing to Metro in U14. If this level is what you seek and your commitment matches our expectations, we are the team you need to try out for.
