Important Information Regarding Police Record Checks:
ALL coaches, assistant coaches, and any team volunteers interacting with players are now required to have yearly PRCs completed. Previous PRCs are no longer valid.
Thank you to all who came out to the Coach’s meeting and dropped off their PRC information. We had a great turn out and really appreciate it. If you were not able to drop off
your information here is what you need to do:
Residents of New Westminster:
Get the application paperwork & volunteer letter (both available from the Risk Manager via email at risk-manager@rcysc.com)
Have ready two pieces of ID (drivers license, passport, care card). Note that credit cards are not acceptable!
Take all of the above to the police department, where they will review your paperwork and confirm your ID.
One of the pages in the paperwork is a letter stating they can release the PRC in a sealed envelope to the Risk Manager. Once the Risk Manager has received the envelopes ,
arrangements will be made to meet with you to open it.
Non New Westminster Residents:
Get a copy of the volunteer letter from the Risk Manager via email at risk-manager@rcysc.com
Take the letter to your local police department, hopefully with this letter you will not have to pay. They will have their own paperwork you will need to fill out
and they will more than likely have the same ID requirements as the NWPS (two pieces of ID (drivers license, passport, care card). Note that credit cards are not acceptable!)
Once they have processed your PRC they will contact you to pick it up.
Contact the Risk Manager via email at risk-manager@rcysc.com and make arrangements to provide the PRC to Royal City Youth Soccer Club.
