Attention Coaches, Managers, Players and Parents: Unless you hear otherwise from the field scheduler or see a notice posted on this web site, you are to assume that all the fields are open for play. Do not rely on the City of New Westminster hotline... that is for public groups NOT for our club.
RCYSC will try to post information about any field closures as early as possible. If there are no notices on this web site, the fields are open. (As always, the referee has final say as whether or not you play.)
If any changes within 24 hours prior to a game the field scheduler will contact coaches directly.
There are currently no teams that have public pages enabled.

RCYSC Coaches Jen Martin and Steve Lowry have been appointed as coaches for the Zone 4 Girls team for the 2014 BC Summer Games.
New Westminster will be well represented at the 2014 BC Summer Games by the recently appointed girls' program Head Coach, Jen Martin, and by Assistant Coach, Steve Lowry. Also working with them will be Assistant Coach and BC Soccer Liason, Jack Torok.
The BC Summer Games features athletes under 12 years of age and is an introductory showcase for these athletes to compete at a Provincial Level. The Zone 4 Team is open to players born in the 2002 and 2003 years, and must be currently registered in the BCSA System. Ideally these players would be currently playing at a U12 Division 1, or U11 Development Level.
There will be two teams selected, One for boys and One for Girls. The teams will be comprised of athletes to a maximum of 14 players per team, with 1 Head Coach and 2 Assistant Coaches. The desire is to retain a group of 28 players for each (Boys and Girls' teams [56 Total]) for practices and evaluations until June 8th when the final selection of 14 players per team will be completed. On June 15th a Final Roster of 14 players will be submitted to BC Games Society. All players selected will be assessed by Coaching Staff as well as BC Soccer Staff for future Provincial programs. All players selected to the BC Summer Games Team, will be required to pay $150 to BC Soccer for registration and BC Summer Games' cost.
These Coaches will start making the rounds to the various areas within Zone 4 (New Westminster, Burnaby, Delta, and Richmond) to conduct assessments on U11 and U12 players in the Development or Division 1 Level. There may be some children playing up a year at the U13 Metro or U13 Division 1 Levels who could qualify for inclusion. If tat is the case, please inform Jack Torok.
Here is the evaluation schedule:
- First Assessment Camp to be conducted March 14th in Ladner BC; 6-8 pm Holly Park
- Second Assessment Camp April 11; Burnaby BC 6-9 pm; Burnaby Lakes Soccer Complex
- Third Assessment Camp April 25; Burnaby BC 6-9 pm; Burnaby Lakes Soccer Complex
- Fourth Assessment Camp in early May; Richmond BC; Time and Field TBA
- Training will commence Mid June until Games July 17.

All adult team officials including Coaches, Assistants, Managers and even "Bench Moms" need to have an up-to-date Police Record Check on file with the Club.
Team officials can check with the risk manager, Lisa Lee, to see if they need to have a PRC done for this year or to obtain a letter from the club that allows you to get your PRC done for free.
Do not delay in getting these done. The club takes the safety and well being of all players seriously and will not allow officials to interact with the children without a current PRC.
RCYSC has loaded Code of Conduct forms for Parents, Players and Coaches in the Documents and Forms section of our website. All Parents and Team Staff (Coaches, Managers, Trainers, etc.) need to sign these forms and have them on file as we enter the 2013-14 season.
Players in U9 and above age groups also need to sign a Player Code of Conduct form.
