
RCYSC Referee Scheduler – Job Description

Position on the Executive
The Referee Scheduler does the following throughout
the soccer season:
End of
Current Season through to Start of Next Season
Notify Level 5 Referees to take
the BCSA Level 4 clinic during the summer.
Notify Level 4 Referees to take
the BCSA Refresher course.
Maintain a database of Level 5
and Level 4 Referees – those who are returning, quitting, and who has or hasn’t
taken the BCSA Refresher course.
Organize registration and
reimbursement for BCSA Clinics or Refresher Clinics with the RCYSC Treasurer.
Maintain Referee Gear inventory
/ Order new Referee Gear as needed / Reclaim gear from exiting Referees
Provide the Level 5 Referee
allocator with information on new Level 5 Referees.
Work with the Districts,
Interact with District
allocator of updates and changes.
Note BCSA changes and get that
information out to the Referees.
Optional
Host
small sided clinic or work with another club to hold a joint clinic.
Ongoing
During the Season
Weekly
contact with field allocator.
Weekly
contact with district allocator.
Weekly
contact with mini allocator.
Weekly
callouts to refs for games. (This is the
biggest time commitment area and it involves direct communication with the
Referees by telephone or in person)
Manage
both Referee levels.
Identify
problems, conflicts, or errors that occur and resolve them.
