RCYSC Divisional Age Group Coordinator – Job Description

Please note: This is a Voting Position on the Executive

The Age Group Coordinator does the following throughout the soccer season:

Season Start/End

Gathers player assessments from coaches leading up to tryouts

Contacts returning coaches and recruits new coaches for the season

Ensures previous season players are aware of online registration, usually at the tryouts

Contacts all players who did not re-register for the next season to determine the reason for not returning

August

Monitors the online registration system, forms new teams and assigns players to existing teams

Contacts returning coaches and recruits new coaches and informs them of the start of season coaches meeting

Assists in practice scheduling

September

Monitors the online registration system and augments teams, trying to accommodate late registrations

Distributes information on league schedules and cup schedules

Communicates with coaches and equipment managers

Informs coaches of the availability of Technical Director assistance

Ongoing

Handles questions

Attends monthly RCYSC executive meetings

Sends age group updates to Coaches, Vice President and Webmaster

Distributes information on league schedules and cup schedules

Informs coaches of meetings, mentorship program, academy program, and CSA/BCSA certification clinics
